On April 29th, 2nd Platoon will head back to Boyle Heights to help local students build "Buddy Benches" to paint and distribute to neighborhood elementary and middle schools. College Track is an organization that empowers students from underserved communities to attend and graduate from college. In the past, students from College Track's Boyle Heights location have worked with The Mission Continues 2nd Platoon at several of our service events -- most notably our 9/11 Project this past year at Roosevelt High School. They are an incredible group of motivated, intelligent young adults. Recently, they reached out to our platoon to ask for our support in building and painting benches to serve even younger generations in the area. We will be building 3 benches from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, April 29th. Come serve with us!
