DeKalb Preparatory Academy is a charter school that gives low income students an alternative to the public school system. The school could use some upgrades in a variety of area that would give the school more flexibility. The school has an area with playground equipment built in it, but due to its lack of padding the school is unable to utilize the playground area until it is improved. That is where we can help hundreds f children be able to go outside for recess as soon as the school year starts. The Westside Surge happened and the school reached out to see if our organization could assist with the playground area. I hope we are going to come out and support the school by bringing some well deserved play area to the children.
