Celebrity Flag Football 2017

Join the Mission Continues- 2nd Service platoon as we got invited to attend the 2017 Celebrity Flag Football Challenge and After Party out at Rhodes Stadium in Katy, TX. We invite you to this once-in-a-decade event happening at Rhodes Stadium on the Saturday before the Super Bowl, on February 4 – the Taste of Katy Chili Bowl & Celebrity Flag Football Game (and After Party). Join us for the Taste of Katy Chili Bowl/Tailgate for an amateur chili cook-off, live music, celebrity appearances, food trucks and lots of kid activities. There will also be a raffle drawing for some awesome prizes, so get your raffle tickets now! This event will be from 9-noon in the east parking lot (visitor’s side) of Rhodes and is FREE to the public. If you’re interested in participating in the chili cook-off, having a vendor space or being a sponsor, there are still opportunities to do so! ALL proceeds of this event go directly to the Rotary Club of Katy for local charities and scholarships. After the Tailgate is the official Celebrity Flag Football Game put on by Celebrity Sweat! Watch is current and past NFL players, other athletes, musicians, actors and other celebrities take the field for some flag football fun. Come see Doug Flutie, Michael Irvin and many more! Before the game there will be a pregame feature Katy ISD bands and veterans, and a halftime show featuring Katy ISD cheerleaders and dance teams. Gates open at noon. Tickets are $20/each and proceeds go to the Wounded Warriors organization. And don’t forget “The” After Party. End the day with some beer and fun at No Label Brewery from 4-8 PM. Your ticket will get you in the door, an awesome pint glass and 3 free beers (more available for purchase). There will be food trucks and the Deacon of Funk will be the DJ of the night. Adults 21 and over – $15; 21 and under are free with an adult. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Katy. I'll be showing up to Rhodes Stadium near game time.
