Tailhook Tuesday at The Brewseum

Come on out for a one of a kind Social Event with the Honolulu 1st Platoon - Tailhook Tuesdays at the Brewseum. You'll get a chance to not only meet other members of the Platoon, but also Regional Staff Members. What's the Brewseum you ask? The Brewseum is more than just Kakaako's best kept secret, it is an experience that you will never forget. Their doors opened on July 4th, 2014 but the story goes much further back in time to when they opened the Museum. The Home of the Brave Museum opened its doors in 1995. Founded at 909 Waimanu Street in Kakaako, this one-of-a-kind family owned and operated private museum grew from one room into a unique collection of WWII, Military, Beer & Hawaiiana memorabilia spread amongst over 10 different unique zones. Most of the items found in the museum have been donated by individuals who experienced the Home of the Brave Tour. Started in 1991, it was widely regarded as the most exclusive WWII Military base tour anywhere in the world with access to installations that came under attack on December 7, 1941 like Pearl Harbor, Hickam AFB, Wheeler AAF, Schofield Barracks, Fort Shafter, Punchbowl and more. The Brewseum came about as the evolution of the family business. With an idea crafted while attending colleges in Colorado, the Tomlinson kids all moved home with the idea of building a brewpub into the already standing museum in Kakaako. When space opened up a couple doors down, the Tomlinson family quickly began construction on what was to be a brewery, but soon evolved into what is now one of the best ranked Brewpub Licensed establishment on the island. On Tuesdays, they host Tailhook Tuesdays, where you can experience their one-of-a-kind carrier landing simulator with friends and family and cheer on the pilots who land on the board on our Tailhook Tuesday evenings!
