Golden Gate Trails: Restoration at Marin Headlands

January 21, 2017

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST

Bay Area Platoon

Event overview

Our first event of the year is a support event with the Golden Gate Conservancy. WE will meet at the Marin Headlands Visitor center and from there head out with rest of the volunteers to repair fence sections. Lunch will be provided. From the GGC website: New year, new fence location! We'll be focused on repairing a different section of fence near the Marin Headlands Hostel. Meet at the Marin Headlands Visitor Center Map link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/37.830642+-122.524733/ Regarding the Tunnel closure:Yes, the tunnel closure is in effect but our project site will be the same. So normally, you would drive through the Baker-Barry Tunnel (highlighted in orange on the map), but instead, just drive on Lower Conzelman and McCullough (highlighted in green on the map). After McCullogh, it puts you in the same place as if you had taken the tunnel. https://www.nps.gov/goga/learn/news/upload/updated-Tunnel-Flyer.pdf
