Park Day with Guggenheim Partners

August 04, 2016

09:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

New York City Platoon

Event overview

On August 4th, The Mission Continues Bronx is deploying back to the South Bronx with Guggenheim Partners to Crotona Park. Park managers are looking to secure a bright future for the park by completing much-needed maintenance on newly planted trees and cleaning up the surrounding area to create a more beautiful place for the community to call their own. The work that we do on August 4th will ensure that there is a healthy canopy of native trees 20-30 years from now. Projects will include: - Weeding, mulching, and build a fence around newly planted trees (3-4 months old) - Weeding and mulching young trees (1-3 yrs old) - Weeding and edging curbs along pathways - Turning soil, weeding, mulching, and building wire fencing around a garden near the bathhouse - Garden restoration by Park's entrance See you there!
