Central High School is the Operation Focus of the Detroit 1st Platoon, and now it is getting the attention it needs nationally! Operation Motown Muster is bringing 75 skilled veteran brothers and sisters from across the country to Detroit for a week of service at the end of June. On Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, they will lead projects at Central High School, where they will continue and build upon the work the Detroit 1st Platoon has started there. Projects will include building benches and picnic tables, resurfacing and installing basketball courts, interior wall and mural painting, building out dugouts for the baseball field and maintaining the softball field, landscaping, creating a community garden, building an outdoor adult fitness area, and more! The goal of Operation Motown Muster is to engage 100+ LOCAL VETERAN VOLUNTEERS per day! So, REPORT FOR DUTY IN DETROIT by volunteering for one or both days of service! Register here! Interested in volunteering for Operation Motown Muster during the week? Check out the other projects at www.missioncontinues.org/motownmuster to learn more and register.
