The L.A.C.E.R. Project

May 21, 2016

09:00 AM - 03:00 PM PDT

Los Angeles Platoon

Event overview

Come out and help us design and restore L.A.C.E.R. After-School Classrooms at Le Conte Middle School! For 20 years the award-winning L.A.C.E.R. Afterschool Programs have provided underserved middle and high school students in Los Angeles with free arts, athletics and academic activities after school. By allowing young people the opportunity to expand their learning, improve their skills and develop new ones in a safe, supportive setting, L.A.C.E.R. fosters scholastic achievement, self-confidence and good citizenship. We will be tearing down old walls, painting the space, building cabinets and so much more! Our special guests will be the art students of L.A.C.E.R. who will be designing their own murals alongside the platoon.
