KaBOOM! @ Congress Park Build Day

Washington, DC Platoon

Event overview

Platoons Fall In!!! Hello everyone we have an exciting event quickly approaching. If you remember that old unsafe brown playground Congress Parks once used for over 500 area youth, then you know exactly why this event is a major deal. During TMC's Service Event on Veterans Day 2015 members of TMC attempted to revive this playset on site. After hours of sanding, geared with gloves and sandpaper... least to say it just couldn't happen. While promoting community involvement, having a safe and fun area for families has inspired the dedication and hard-work actioned by residence of Congress Park. The good news is the ground is cleared and ready for a brand new KaBOOM! Playground next week. The Mission Continues will share this special moment with the community and other partners. Will you be there? Please indicate what day(s) you are available for planning purposes during registration. Together we make a difference; we promote the efforts of the community working in unity. Let's meet at the park :). Day 1: (PREP DAY) September 26, 2016 Time: 0800-1600 Day 2: (Build Day) September 28, 2016 Time 0830-1430 Although this event is during the week lets show up strong and proud to support Congress Park during this special occasion.
