The Mission Continues is partnering with Friends of Douglass Community Center to collect much needed winter items needed for the children and families in Southeast DC. Located in the Douglass Community, this community center is one of the oldest in Ward 8 supporting a large community in the surrounding area. The center is the heart of the community providing the community amazing outdoor amenities that include a popular playground as well as much needed food and other critical needs to those in the area. Please bring the following items: New or gently used clean winter coats, new winter hats, new winter gloves and new socks. Items can be dropped off at the Douglass Community Center (1922 Frederick Douglass Ct SE, Washington, DC 20020) on Monday, January 18th between 10am-12pm.
