Veterans Art Day is designed to honor and connect veterans with the fun and healing that comes with creating in a hands-on class. Veterans and members of the Armed Forces who are active or retired, from any branch, of any rank and age are all welcome to participate in these workshops. Making art can have a transformative effect on veterans adjusting to life after service. Study after study suggests that engaging in art and creativity can have a lasting and healing effect on veterans and the stress related with combat and service. Our Veterans Art Day activities are designed to offer a fun atmosphere for vets in a community of their peers while being creative and learning a new skill. It also offers Art Center staff and organizers a chance to show gratitude to our vets by connecting them to creativity and fun.
