KaBOOM! Playground Build

August 07, 2019

09:00 AM - 04:00 PM EDT

Detroit Platoon

Event overview

Join The Mission Continues as we team up with People for Palmer Park, The City of Detroit, and KaBOOM! to build a playground at Palmer Park! You'll be amazed to be a part of this project and see an entire playground being constructed in a few short hours of hard work and fun! You don't want to miss this project, so be sure to sign up! Volunteers should be age 16+ and will assemble playground pieces, mix concrete, move mulch, etc. Youth activities will be provided as well as gloves, goggles, breakfast and lunch. Kaboom! is a program partner and wants us to know that play is central to a child's ability to grow into a productive adult. Together, we can ensure kids get the balance of play they need to thrive! Please join us and show that play matters to you. You can also show your support for the cause by joining the conversation online on October 20th, 2018 with the hashtag #playmatters. #playmatters #CharlieMike In addition to completing registration on this page, please also complete the KaBOOM! electronic waiver to expedite check in on build day: https://palmerpark.eventbrite.com
