Cody Crew Clean Up | Honigman Day of Service

June 21, 2019

02:00 PM - 05:00 PM EDT

Detroit Platoon

Event overview

Detroit 2nd Platoon is back in action in Cody-Rouge, joining forces with Motor City Grounds Crew, Honigman Law Firm, and community partners for an afternoon of service at Greensview-Wadsworth Park. Volunteer support is needed to help activate this expansive, vacant park into a vibrant and inviting community space. Working towards the goal of more recreation opportunities for Detroit residents, partners will come together to transform vacant land into parks and community spaces. Volunteers will help with several projects including building picnic tables and benches, landscaping, and installing a walking trail. The service project will conclude with a cook out and celebration, so please join us to kick off the summer in service! Partners for this event include: Honigman Law Firm - Lead Sponsor Motor City Grounds Crew - Lead Organizer Southfield-PlymoUth Community Association | Cody-Rouge Action Alliance | Cody High School | DPD 6th Precinct
