Block Revitalization in Hamilton Heights!

May 04, 2019

10:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

New York City Platoon

Event overview

Hamilton Heights is one of the historic neighborhoods in New York City named after Alexander Hamilton. Recent problematic activity has stirred up the 134st block association to address issues in their neighborhood to include community involvement and restoration. A Local City Counsel member reached out to The Mission Continues to see if we could help revitalize 134 street, one of the current problem areas. So the Manhattan Platoon sad YES! We are going to help out and work with the community to restore the street to it's glory. We are going paint a graffiti-ed fence at an abandoned lot in the middle of the street and put wood garden beds around the trees along the street. This is part of a multi-pronged effort to increase community support and involvement, and to tackle current problems the area. Charlie Mike!
