Event overview

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s Legacy of Service with Detroit Platoons at the Boys & Girls Club! Blue Door Blitz will be a day ON, taking action in the lives of Detroit youth to continue to make the Lloyd H. Diehl Clubhouse a safe, engaging space for the 80+ youth who take comfort there daily. Projects will include construction of additional benches for the gym, painting, sanding and staining the stage and reading loft, and more hands-on, family-friendly projects! Please arrive by 8:30 am for check-in so that projects can commence at 9 am. Lunch will be provided, and the event will conclude by 2 pm.

What To Wear

Closed toe shoes, your blue TMC shirt, and layers! The climate in the club house tends to fluctuate.

What to Bring

The teen program has asked for donations for their donation drive to support the homeless. Please consider bringing donations of socks, scarves, hats, and gloves. New items only, please.

Inclement Weather

Indoor projects, but please travel safely!
