Service Leadership Corps Launch: Service Project

October 20, 2018

12:00 PM - 04:00 PM EDT

Newark Platoon

Event overview

During the weekend of October 19-21, The Mission Continues is launching our brand new program - the Service Leadership Corps, a six-month community-based leadership program for US Military veterans and current members of the National Guard and Reserves. Through this program, Veterans will develop an elevated awareness and appreciation for the challenges that our country is facing in cities and communities nationwide, and that this awareness will result in an increased desire to continue in their pursuit of community-based leadership opportunities and impact. As a part of the weekend, veterans from all across the country will be joining the Newark Service Platoon in an impact service event in Newark's Central Ward. We'll be revitalizing the entire campus of the Boys and Girls Club, which includes Jesse Allen Park, Grace West Homes, Miller Spencer School, and the Boys and Girls Club. Registration opens at 12:00 PM with kick off starting at 12:45 PM. We look forward to having you there to help leave an everlasting mark in the Central Ward.
