Urban Farming at Franklinton Farms

October 20, 2018

08:00 AM - 12:30 PM EDT

Columbus OH Platoon

Event overview

Franklinton Farms is growing (literally!) and needs our help! In addition to the produce they are continually growing at their 12+ sites in Franklinton, they are growing in size. They are converting two more vacant lots into fields with green houses this fall and need help getting things ready. The project activities include helping them move material into place, setting line poles for the fence and possibly field work depending on the number of volunteers. The plan will be to meet at their main office with the following schedule: 8:00am: Registration Opens and Volunteer Arrival 8:15am: Opening Remarks - Franklinton Farms and Safety Brief from TMC 8:30am: Start of project 12:00pm: Begin project cleanup 12:15pm: Closing Remarks - Franklinton Farms and TMC 12:30pm: Project Closes POC: Kim Tapia Columbus 1st Leadership Team Member
