Event overview

The Mission Continues in Chicago is building a coalition of non-profit, corporate, and public sector partners to launch a new mission called Operation Block Blitz. This is a targeted, one-day, door-to-door canvassing and neighborhood improvement event. Using the power of volunteerism, veterans and volunteers will partner to beautify neighborhoods, talk with residents about available social services, and provide free resources. We need you! Join us on this new effort to make an immediate impact on Chicago’s neighborhoods. WHY: Improve community cohesion, promote wellness and give residents the tools to succeed. WHEN: Saturday, September 15th – 8:00 AM -1:30 PM WHERE: This Blitz will focus on the Belmont Cragin neighborhood. We will be meeting and kicking off at Belmont Cragin Elementary School WHO: We have partnered with Metropolitan Family Services, Northwest Side Housing Center, Red Cross of Greater Chicago, the 36th Ward and other local organizations.
