Cody Rouge Park Project

June 22, 2018

03:00 PM - 05:30 PM EDT

Detroit Platoon

Event overview

Detroit 2nd Platoon is proud to support Motor City Grounds Crew, a nonprofit organization founded by Marine veteran Aaron Smith in 2011 to help the city and neighborhoods of Detroit maintain their forsaken parks--by tackling hands-on projects, which will create and maintain accessible recreation opportunities for Detroiters. Fitzpatrick-Warwick Playground serves youth and families in the Cody Rouge neighborhood. With input from neighbors through the Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance, we will bring new life to the space. Plans for the project include greenscaping, picnic areas, and other improvements.
