Earth's Day Laying the Future Impact

April 21, 2018

10:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

Atlanta Platoon

Event overview

Sod, sod, and more sod.....a few hands on builds, maybe some paint, and definitely a Basketball Goal!!! "We only have one earth, so we need to take care of her." - Senator Gaylord Nelson Senator Nelson (the creator of earth day) was disturbed that an issue as important as our environment was not addressed in politics or by the media, so he created the first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970. An estimated 20 million people nationwide attended festivities that day. Let's carry on this 50 year tradition by coming together at Future Foundation. The Foundation faces an erosion problem so we will be laying sod and planting trees and bushes to help with this issue. We will be brightening up the Foundation as they brighten the minds of the youth.
