Bay Area Platoon

Event overview

Come join the Oakland 1st and San Francisco 1st Service platoons as we team up with the stewards of the Golden Gate National Park System on Saturday, February 3rd for a fun day of work! We are going to head over to the Lands End Trail by the Nike Missile site to work with the stewards to restore some native plants and habitat while also learning about the area. We can expect to do a short hike into the area and assist with planting for habitat restoration and maintenance. There will also be weed abatement work. The stewards will discuss the local flora and fauna and ecosystem while educating the group about our impact and efforts!
