In honor of Veteran's Day, please join all three Los Angeles service platoons for a fun afternoon of outdoor games, BBQ, and socializing with your favorite veterans and community members. We will meet at Bishop Canyon Park (part of Elysian Park, just north of Dodger Stadium) at 1pm. We will provide the food, non alcoholic beverages, and games, but feel free to bring any of your own that you would like to share! In addition to coming together for an afternoon of fun, we are also collecting books for Carver Middle School. On September 9, built the school a reading cafe, now we want to help stock it with fun and interesting books for the kids to read. Please bring some middle school age books to be donated to Carver Middle School and support their focus in literacy. If the park is crowded, keep an eye out for our blue tent and shirts.
