Event overview

The Miami Service Platoon is partnering with Miami Dade Parks for a multi-phase service initiative at Seminole Wayside Park. Nestled on 28 acres of pine rockland and nature preserve, Seminole Wayside Park is home to several endangered and native plants and species, and is one of the first-ever parks opened in Miami-Dade County. This project is Phase I of a three phase series to reintroduce, rehabilitate, and revitalize this natural preserve. This park has been neglected and as a result the habitat has suffered. We will be instrumental in making this park a destination for school children, nature lovers, and the community at large. Come see the vision of what this park will become with your help and support. - Delicious lunch provided for all volunteers - Family friendly event, so bring the kids! - DJ will be on site to set the stage Charlie Mike!
