Houston Platoon

Event overview

More than 100 veterans will come together in Houston between October 13th and 15th as the newest recruits of The Mission Continues Fellowship and Service Platoon Programs. In addition to team building and training sessions, Fellows, Service Platoon Leaders, and community members will mobilize for a high-impact community service project. Due to Hurricane Harvey, our volunteers will focus helping with recovery efforts. One of our community service projects will be at Hope Farms where they have launched a virtual kitchen shower called Delivering Hope that will provide flood victims with new kitchen/pantry items and fresh produce from Hope Farms. We look forward to helping with these efforts and hope to see you out there, and to thank you for your hard work, we’ll feed you at our block party in Independence Heights from 5 –7 pm with music from the Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society. Independence Heights Community Park 603 E 35th St. Houston, TX 77022
