Jared and Nathan Hubbard / Jeremiah Baro

HubbardBaro

Jared Hubbard, 22, and Jeremiah Baro, 21, had been friends since the 7th grade. They graduated in 2001 after wrestling together on the Buchanan High School team in Clovis, Ca. Together they enlisted in the Marines, attended sniper training, and deployed twice to Iraq. Both were killed on November 4, 2004 by a roadside bomb in Ramadi, Iraq. They were assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1 Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

In 2005, Nathan Hubbard had enlisted in the Army in honor of his older brother Jared. While deployed to Iraq, Nathan was killed in a helicopter accident. All 14 passengers on board the helicopter were killed. At the time of his death, Nathan was 21 and held the rank of corporal.
