Supporters
The Mission Continues is grateful for the support of many generous corporate partners
and individual donors.
We are proud to partner with corporate supporters, such as Goldman Sachs,
Target, Southwest Airlines, US Bank and Emerson, not only to fund fellowships, but also to mobilize
civilians to serve alongside veterans at service projects. We are also very appreciative of the growing
support of our individual donors, whose passion for our mission enriches our organization.
Individual Spotlight
Jim Parsons
Jim Parsons, a New York City hedge fund manager, was searching for a veteran’s organization to support when he learned about The Mission Continues. After conferring with several friends in the service, Jim repeatedly heard about The Mission Continues and our commitment to making a difference in the lives of our veterans. Jim felt a connection to The Mission Continues’ goal of challenging veterans, not just giving them charity. He recognized that The Mission Continues had the right objectives, in the right area, with the right leader. His decision to financially support The Mission Continues came at a critical time in our growth, helping Jim know that he was making a true impact with his investment.
Donor Spotlight
Target
Target made a $130,000 investment in The Mission Continues to connect returning veterans with meaningful service opportunities. Together, Target and The Mission Continues served military communities by empowering Target team members, local veterans, active duty service members and civilians volunteers to improve local schools. On Veterans Day 2010, more than 1,000 Target team members and veterans volunteered at schools in 11 cities across the country. Through service, Target and The Mission Continues came together to live the values of veterans and walked away with a sense of mutual respect and understanding.
After such a successful collaboration in 2010, Target and The Mission Continues are teaming up again in 2011 to complete 15 community service projects on Veterans Day.
